The Alexander Technique was developed by F.M. Alexander. He discovered the importance of the position of the head and neck to the rest of the body. The goal of this technique is to move outdated patterns of movement into consciousness and to replace them with new and better ones.
F.M. Alexander proceeded, like the old Qigong Masters, from the unity of body and soul. The interesting parts of this technique for riders is just how we influence the horse with even the most minimal of movements (like holding your breath). In this workshop, we work on fine tuning the rider or driver. If you are able to fine tune your body-consciousness and your consciousness for the movements of your horse, then a lighter and finer cooperation between horse and human will result.
